I made a bluetooth footpedal based on these instructables.com description.
Only I wanted it to have four pedals instead of just two, the good thing is that the board we both used has no problem with that and is even compatible with the Airturn since that is also using the arrow keys as keys 1 to 4.

Of course I could have just bought the 4 pedal airturn, but it's rather big and I ended up spending about 50 euro on materials where the airturn is about 145 euro (see link below)

I ended up putting the switches in the enclosure of a router I had lying around and this is what the end result looks like:
